Our blue moon ritual. Apparently there’s some big event happening at the stupid Aphros shop that night, and I just found out everyone cancelled so they could go to that.

RUBI
Oh no…

MARIE
It’s supposed to be one of our biggest events of the year. And now...

Rubi puts her hand on Marie’s shoulder.

MARIE
I feel like a failure Rubi.

RUBI
You are NOT a failure.

MARIE
We’re barely staying open. And it’s getting worse every week.

RUBI
I can pick up some more cursebreaking if I need to, we’re gonna be okay…

MARIE
I’m supposed to be the smart business woman, the one that holds it all together, the one who has the answers… and I’m falling apart.

Marie leans her head on Rubi’s shoulder. Rubi gives a small smile and lets her head rest against Marie’s.
